Visually breathtaking in innovative mocap/animative stylism with a stirring Zimmer score, strong voicework by its superstar cast, and preservation of the original’s Victorian/life-cyclical thematics. 8/10. … Review: The Lion King. Aladdin. Jungle Book. The Little Mermaid. Dumbo. Cinderella. Mulan. One might be forgiven for starting to get weary of Disney’s veritable rapid-fire of live-action remakes flooding cinemas near you. Most have been decent, some great, but we were all on the edge of ou ...

The animation was soo beautiful , I could feel the years of "crusts" break off - and my heart was bleeding and pumping with love and pride for the majesty of my homeland - Africa. Graphics were spectacular (I could see they correct anatomical placement of veins) and it was obvious that the animators put soul into the graphic/animation part of the film.I recognised soo many Authentic African animals, trees , flowers/landscape and animal background sounds. Nala, Mufasa, Timon , Pumba and Rafiki's ...

I had such high hopes for this movie and it did not dissapoint! Disney has once again gone above and beyond to show all of us the magic! not just in the impeccable graphics and perfect re creation of one of our most beloved tales of all times but the magic of bringing us all together as one! As I sat in my seat and looked around the packed cinema I saw all ages and walks of life with eyes glistening with anticipation and it sent shivers down my spine. We laughed and cried as one, we felt eve ...

I saw it on opening day, and I have to say, it was breathtaking. The CGI was fantastic, all of the actors played their roles to a crisp. The music, both both the re-enactments and the new ones were both amazing. I loved how they did more with The Lion Sleeps Tonight scene. My hat is off to Beoncé and Donald Glover, bravo on Can You Feel The Love Tonight

I think half the problem is that everyone is constantly comparing this to the animated version which does make sense I guess. However it is still a great film, has amazing visuals and the voice acting is spot on. But with praise there will always be negativity, and for me the problem was that they seemed to rush through the film; even though its basically 2 hours long it felt like they crammed it all together. The most important and emotional scenes didn't last very long and that's quite disapp ...
