இயக்குனர் பிரபு சாலமன், பயணத்தை மையமாக வைத்து தனது வழக்கமான பாணியில் இப்படத்தை இயக்கியிருக்கிறார். ஒரு படத்தை முழுக்க ரெயிலில் எடுக்கமுடியுமா? என்பதற்கு சவால் விடும்படியாக இவரது படைப்பு உள்ளது. படத்தின் இடைவேளைக்கு சற்று முன்னர்தான் கதையே ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. ஆகையால், படத்தின் முதல் பாதி காமெடி, காதல் என இழுஇழுவென கதையை இழுத்திருக்கிறார். இடைவேளைக்கு பிறகு ரெயிலைப்போன்று கதையும் வேகமெடுக்கிறது. முதல்பாதியை குறைத்திருந்தால் படம் கொஞ்சம் ரசிக்கும்படியாக இருக்கும்.அதேபோல், பிரபு சாலமன் படங்களில் இயற்கை காட்சிகள் எல்லாம் அழகாக இருக்கும். அதேபோல் இந்த படத்திலும் இயற்கை காட்சிகளை வெற்றிவேல் மகேந்திரனின் கேமரா அழகாக படம் பிடித்திருக்கிறது. டி.இமான் இசையில் பாடல்கள் பரவாயில்லை ரகம்தான். பின்னணி இசையில் வேகம் கூட்டியிருக்கலாம். படத்தில் போன உசுரு வந்துடுச்சே பாடல் ரசிக்கும்படி இருந்தாலும், அதன் பின்னணியை காட்சிப்படுத்திய விதம் ரசிக்க விடாமல் செய்துவிட்டது.

2nd half : Trolling TV channel talk shows Dhanush doing dance,fight,run romance over the top of 140km/hr moving train.

Action - Packed Thriller

Dhanush is seen performing some high-voltage stunts. Does Dhanush play the role of a secret agent or does he just know to tackle his enemies well? We have to wait and watch. One of the gripping scenes of the trailer is when the train almost destroys a railway station. All these scenes suggest that the film will be an action-packed thriller.

Trademarks in Thodari - Behindwoods

Romance, comedy, tragic incidents, suspense, good music and some beautiful pictures of nature- these are some of the trademark elements that you find in all Prabhu Solomons films. Thodari too is a concoction of all these added with few action sequences which might look force fitted to satisfy the fans of Dhanush. A couple of them could have been put away.One of the biggest plus points is that the comedies keep coming in spite of the core plot being very serious. Prabhu Solomon has taken extra care to satisfy all sections of people. Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran deserve a special mention in helping the director to keep up the pace but if you are looking for a serious film, these comedies could seem like a distraction.
