ஹாரர் படங்கள் என்றால், படத்தின் இடையிடையேதான் பயமுறுத்தும்படியான காட்சிகள் வைத்திருப்பார்கள். ஆனால், இப்படத்தின் டைட்டில் கார்டு போடுவதில் ஆரம்பித்து கடைசி வரை முழுக்க முழுக்க ரசிகர்களை பயமுறுத்தும் வகையிலேயே காட்சிகளை அமைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

பேய் படம் என்றால், ரத்தம் வழிந்த கோர முகம், கொடூரமாக கொல்வது என்று பார்த்து பார்த்து சலித்துப்போன ரசிகர்களுக்கு இப்படத்தில் புது அனுபவத்தை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் இயக்குனர் அஸ்வின் சரவணன். படம் முழுக்க இருட்டை வைத்தே மிரட்டி இருக்கிறார்கள். இயக்குனர் கதை சொன்ன விதம் குழப்பியிருந்தாலும், படம் ரசிக்கும்படி இருக்கிறது.

படத்திற்கு மற்றொரு பெரிய பலம் சத்யன் சூரியனின் ஒளிப்பதிவு. ஆரி வரும் காட்சிகளுக்கு ஒரு டோன், நயன்தாரா வரும் காட்சிகளுக்கு ஒரு டோன் என கொடுத்து அசர வைத்திருக்கிறார். ரான் ஏதன் யோகன் இசையும் மிரட்டும்படி இருக்கிறது.

Maya takes a special spot in the victory stand for having employed Digital Interface (DI) for the core purpose of storytelling. In the course of deep thinking, mere techniques can become the narrator too! Maya stands as a substantial example for the same.The director has indeed taken advantage of the potential that Nayanthara has as a performer. There is not one frame in which we see her stepping out of her character. Dialogue heavy or light, this character mouths it in a consistent manner. Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli shines even when her character as Nayantharas friend holds a subtle impact.

With names like Ron Ethan Yohaan and Sathyan Sooryan, I did not expect much in the technical department. But Maya turns out to be a technical marvel. Ron Ethan Yohaans background score not only spooks you but also makes sure you are barely seated, right from the word go. Sathyan Sooryans cinematography is fresh as the cameraman has avoided the usual angles used in a horror flick and yet manages to impress by evoking fear. TS Sureshs editing has played an important role in Maya. His sharp as well as smart cuts might make your heart skip a beat at places.

Awesome editing Cinematography with good music. Dont wanna reveal anything. Go to theaters, watch experience one of the unique horror movie in Tamil Cinema
