Even though Maari is a script which is blended with mass and star power of Dhanush, the dialogues in the movie sometimes failed to create impacts on screen. The script of the film is written for Dhanush fans, and if you are an unbiased movie lover, then it may turn out to be a disappointment for you. It doesnt mean that Maari is an average movie, the film has everything for a mass feast, but it would have been even better if Balaji Mohan paid much more attention to the dialogues in the movie. ...

Maari is filled with plenty of mass moments which should do enough to satisfy Dhanush fans but one feels more engaging screenplay could have made the film tighter and rock solid. Another advantage of Maari is its runtime which runs just over 2 hours and a quarter.
