Kappal (2014) Movie Details

When you are in trouble, when you are sad and when you are in love - it is a given that it is our friends, who step out in front and give us a helping hand. If you think Kappal is one of those sweet friendship melodies, it is definitely not and if you think otherwise, it definitely is.

Everyone from the friends group has done well in their role but comedy gone for overdose. Climax would go as the script you wont feel deviated from the movie. Picturing the movie make us colorful and Natarajans music makes unique.

The biggest strength of Kappal is its realistic treatment with enough romance and fun. In Kappal, the heroine is shown as any other urban girl who boozes, goes to party and opts for a date. Also, the love does not happen at first look and the girl takes her own time over it. The director showcases urban love and intimacy in an endearing manner, also the complete first half is filled with good one liner which evokes great laughter.

Dinesh Krishnans cinematography is right on the money, bringing in richness in the frame within the limited locations. The songs have been well shot - the concept and execution of the Kadhal Cassata song makes the entire song look yummy.

The movie is about the extra sweetness of friendship that can attract those irking red ants. Vaibhav and his immature friends played by Karunakaran, Arjunan, Venkat Sundar and Karthik Priyadarshan are all over the movie throwing in comic lines.
