144 தடை உத்தரவை மையமாக வைத்து இயக்கியிருக்கிறார் இயக்குனர் மணிகண்டன். ஆனால், திரைக்கதையை தெளிவில்லாமல் அமைத்திருக்கிறார். சொல்ல வந்த கதையை தெளிவாக சொல்லியிருக்கலாம். 2 1/2 மணி நேரம் படம் பார்க்கும்போது, 4 மணி நேரம் படத்தை பார்த்த உணர்வு ஏற்படுகிறது. அவ்வளவு நீளமான திரைக்கதையை உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார். படத்தில் காமெடிகள் பெரியதாக எடுபடவில்லை. சிறந்த கதாபாத்திரங்களை தேர்வு செய்த இயக்குனருக்கு, அவர்களை வைத்து வேலை வாங்க தெரியவில்லை.சிவா, அசோக் செல்வன், ஓவியா, ஸ்ருதி ராமகிருஷ்ணன், மதுசூதனன் ஆகியோர் கொடுத்த வேலையை சிறப்பாக செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். முனிஸ்காந்த் திறமையான நடிப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார். பீலிங்ஸ் ரவி என்னும் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் காமெடி வில்லனாக நடித்திருக்கிறார் உதய் மகேஷ். இவரை வைத்து காமெடி செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனாலும் பெரியதாக கைகொடுக்கவில்லை.

actorshiva is funny and keeps the proceedings going.. AshokSelvan as the rural Madurai youth gets the lingo right..
A decent rural comedy con heist movie.. 1st half is better with gud comedy scenes.. 2nd half - Expected more twists and turns

Siva plays the role of a failed thief closely resembling his own character in the highly entertaining Kalakalappu but sadly here he is let down by a non existent script and there are only very few moments he manages to bring a smile on the faces of the tortured audiences. Ashok Selvan is supposed to be a racer but there is nothing to show it and the young actor manages to stay afloat with his sincere performance. Oviya as an unabashed call girl doesnt have much to do (not even an item number!!!). Ramodoss who impressed as Munishkanth in Mundasupatti with his dialogue delivery is only half effective as a mute person. The rest of the cast are loud with the exception of the actor playing the village police inspector who impresses with his subtle comic timing.
