Prasanth Thyagarajan is Tamil film actor. He is the son of film director Thyagarajan. He has appeared in several Tamil films, as well as a few Telugu films and Malayalam films.
Prashanth was born in Chennai to his father Thyagarajan, who is an actor and director in Tamil films. His maternal grandfather, Peketi Sivaram, was an actor and an acclaimed director of Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. He also has a sister, Preethi Thyagarajan.
Prashanth Thiagarajan debuted in 1990 in the film Vaigasi Poranthachu when he was 17 years old. His other notable films include Balu Mahendra`s Vanna Vannna Pookal released in 1991 and R. K. Selvamani`s Chembaruthi released in 1992. Then in 1998, Prashanth appeared in S. Shankar`s blockbuster film Jeans. His other huge hit films include Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998), Jodi (1999), Parthen Rasithen (2000), Thamizh (2002), and Winner (2003).
He married Grahalakshmi on September 1, 2005 but in 2006, Prashanth filed a divorce case at a family court.
